Shots on the Spot, a vaccination program run by the Texarkana-Bowie County Family Health Center and CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System, will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Hooks High School, Hooks, Texas.

The CHRISTUS Spirit of St. Michael van will be in the gym’s parking lot. The shots will be free for kids eligible for the Texas Vaccines for Children program. Eligible children can be enrolled in Medicaid, uninsured, underinsured or have a health insurance plan that doesn’t cover vaccines. Parents must bring a child’s shot record to receive immunizations.
