A motorcyclist was killed Thursday night as he attempted to turn off U.S. Highway 67 onto FM 2148 about 7 miles west of Texarkana, Texas, authorities said.

Jeffrey Chad Rains, 37, of Hooks, Texas, was pronounced dead by Bowie County Justice of the Peace Nancy Talley.
