A Youth Conference and Parent Workshop are slated for Friday and Saturday at Mount Orange Missionary Baptist Church, 2510 W. 10th St.

The event, “Somebody Loves Me ... His Name is Jesus,” is based on John 3:16 and is designed for children and youth ages 6-18.

The conference begins at 7 p.m. Friday with praise and worship and guest speaker, the Rev. David Keener, pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Linden, Texas.

The workshops will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will be provided.
