To serve as advocate for parents and students and to place a mother’s perspective on the school board are the reasons Theresa Kerst is running for a seat on the Red Lick School Board.

“My goals are to bring new faces and experiences to the RLISD, expand the board of trustees to at least seven in a timely and effective manner,” Kerst said.

Kerst is challenging Mark Patterson for incumbent Robert Murray’s seat. Murray will seek re-election. The election is May 9 and early voting begins Monday.
