Q and U wed in fun phonetic lesson

Trice Elementary students attend quaint ceremony dressed as queens, quarterbacks


Layla Nowling and Hunter Phillips participate in a mock wedding at Trice Elementary School Friday morning. The ceremony was part of a phonics lesson signifying that the letter Q linguistically relies on U.
Here comes the bride, all dressed in Q. The groom was dressed in U.

At least that’s how the wedding of the Qs and the Us was performed Friday morning at Trice Elementary School.

There was no quibbling during the quintessential ceremony held in the school’s quaint courtyard.
