The monthlong celebration of the nine decades of ministry of First Lutheran Church begins Sunday with guest speaker the Rev. Ken Hennings, president of the Texas District of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.

The central theme for the activities is “This Far by Faith,” based on Romans 5:1-2. Each of the first four Sundays of the month features special music and speakers.
