LINDEN, Texas—When the older brother of a slain 13-year-old answers questions about allegations of abuse from his adopted father’s attorney, certain rules will be followed.

Cass County Court at Law Judge Donald Dowd on Friday granted a defense motion to cross-examine the teen concerning the adopted children of Bill and Cynthia Hudson of Queen City, Texas.

“But I’m going to set certain parameters that I feel are necessary for the protection of the child,” the judge added.
