The Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously this week to implement tighter restrictions on modular housing in Texarkana, Texas.

The city has three zoning levels for single-family dwellings, ranked 1 through 3 from most restrictive to least. Manufactured homes are allowed only in SF3, but modular homes, which are sectional residences, were still allowed in SF2.
