A De Queen, Ark., woman was treated for non life-threatening injuries at the scene of a motorcycle accident Friday night on Bishop Road south of New Boston Road.

Family and friends of Angie Nichols said she laid her Harley Davidson down in the grass.

“The helmet kept her from getting hurt. If she hadn’t had the helmet on, she’d have been hurt a lot worse than she was,” said Bargie Elliot, of Texarkana Texas. Elliot was driving one of the four motorcycles traveling in a group with Nichols.
