Despite strong winds and heavy rain, no severe damages or injuries were reported Saturday as storms swept through the area for the second consecutive weekend.

Bowie and Miller counties were both hit by the storms Saturday afternoon. Most damage was limited to downed trees, flash flooding and a few minor accidents.

A portion of U.S. Highway 82—from Red River Army Depot to New Boston city limits—was closed late Saturday due to heavy amounts of rainfall. Motorists were reported to be stranded along the highway.
