The Wake Village City Council will meet at 7 p.m. today to approve joining an inter-jurisdictional mutual aid agreement.

The agreement calls for both the city and Bowie County to assist one another with public safety personnel and equipment in the event of either natural or man-made disasters or other emergencies.

The council also will consider appointing Wake Village resident Linda Jackson to serve as the city’s municipal judge for two years.
