Firefighters battle chemical burningFoam, dry ice used to quell smoldering
![]() Staff photo by Jim Williamson Firefighters spray foam on hazardous chemicals removed from a truck Wednesday morning near Mike’s County Store south of Foreman, Ark., on Arkansas Highway 41. About 800 buckets of chemfuel started smoldering in the truck and was removed by emergency teams. Two firemen were overcome by heat but were not seriously hurt. Little River County Emergency Management Director Don Hale Jr., said the six 1-gallon buckets of chemfuel had some type of reaction about 7:42 a.m. Wednesday. The buckets of chemfuel were on a truck parked on the side of Highway 41 about a mile south of Foreman.
