A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Cookville, Texas, man who had an outstanding warrant for burglary of a residence.

Officers patrolling at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of West 16th Street in Mount Pleasant, Texas, stopped a vehicle for the driver’s seat belt violation, said Mount Pleasant Police Chief Jay Burch.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Randall Scott Powell, 37, of Cookville.
