The pets of the week are Casey, a gray, declawed female cat in cage C38, and a brown and tan, female chow mix in cage S9.

The Animal Care and Adoption Center of Texarkana, Ark., has 42 dogs, 43 puppies, 31cats and 49 kittens for adoption, said a shelter official. There were 21 adoptions in the past week, and 67 animals were euthanized.
