Local business raises $4,000 for organization


Gene “Cuda” Leslie, Chip “Catfish” Wilkerson, Frank Clanton, John Rutledge, William “Metalman” Sexton, Jay Freeman and David Johnston hold a check for $4,100 from Shooters Sports Bar. Shooters’ third annual Bikers’ Bash was recently held to raise money for Bikers Against Child Abuse.
A local business raised more than $4,000 for some nice guys who ride Hogs instead of white horses.

Members of Bikers Against Child Abuse were the recipients of the funds collected during Shooters’ third annual Bikers’ Bash.

BACA is an international children’s advocacy group with a simple goal.

“We seek to re-empower children who are victims of abuse,” said BACA Texarkana president, Chip “Catfish” Wilkerson. “We want them to be able to to live without the fear and uncertainty that comes with having been victimized.”
