A man charged with abuse of a corpse and battery in Miller County for allegedly leaving his wife’s lifeless body for weeks in an apartment bathtub has been scheduled for an October trial.

Lemuel “David” Walker, 50, appeared Tuesday before Circuit Judge Joe Griffin for a pretrial hearing with his defense attorney, Robert Depper of El Dorado, Ark.

The decaying body of Walker’s wife, 33-year-old Jaycee Walker, was found March 2 by a maintenance man at the Sterling Crest Apartments in Texarkana, Ark.
