Though fireworks sales across the country may be down, the same can’t be said of sales here in Texarkana.

Sales have been steady at both Spectacular Fireworks and Stateline Fireworks.

“We haven’t noticed any problems between our sales and the economy. We expect a big season since gas isn’t over $4 and the Fourth of July falls on a Saturday,” said Mark Bradford, owner of Spectacular Fireworks.

Both Bradford and Ken Carpenter, owner of Stateline Fireworks, have been in the business for close to 35 years.
