Holiday activities for the entire family are planned this weekend at Cossatot River State Park.

The park is about 11 miles east of Wickes, Ark., on Highway 278. Weekend events range from “America’s Birthday Party” to a macro-invertebrate hunt.

America’s Birthday Party starts at 9 a.m. and ends about noon Saturday. The activities include games and horseshoes.

The 1,500-gallon fish tank sponsored by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will also be on display. The meeting place will be at the visitor center.
