Kids Improving Diabetes Safely, also known as KIDS Day Camp, kicks off its 2009 session Monday.

Children ages 6-18 with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes can come to this free five-day camp for activities that include swimming, hiking, archery, arts and crafts, water relays and fishing.

The sessions will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily at Camp Preston Hunt, east of Texarkana off U.S. Highway 82.
