Texarkana College will add five upper-level administrative jobs to its 2009-2010 budget at an estimated cost of between $300,000 and $500,000, college officials report.

The projections do not include support staff salaries.

In June, the positions were posted on High Education Website with closing instructions “open until filled.”

Board member Borden Bell, who has served as the budget committee chair for many years, said he would like to see the college move slowly on filling the positions as the funding is made available.
