A former Miller County jailer accused of sexual misconduct with female inmates while on the job has been scheduled for trial in October.

Patrick Drake, 54, denies he’s guilty of the third-degree sexual assault charge prosecutors filed against him.

“Your honor, I’m going to ask for a trial setting in this case,” said public defender Wayne Dowd. “I met Mr. Drake for the first time today, so I hope it isn’t going to be for the next immediate trial date.”
