Hospice of Texarkana is providing children an avenue to deal with loss Thursday with Good Grief Day.

Grief counselors will be on hand to help children find constructive ways to grieve the absence of a loved one’s presence in their lives.

“It’s set up for children, but not just children who have someone who has died,” said Andrea Taylor, a Hospice of Texarkana social worker. “We’ve had children who have a parent incarcerated or whose parents are divorced and one has moved far away and they don’t see them often. Situations like that apply also.”
