A local foundation has money available for charitable projects the benefit the public.

The Texarkana Area Community Foundation (TACF), a local office of the Arkansas Community Foundation, will begin its 2009 grant cycle Friday.

Any IRS 501(c)(3) public charity, public school, government, or hospital in the TACF service area is eligible to receive funding for community projects.

The foundation serves Miller, Little River, Sevier, Howard, and Hempstead counties in Arkansas and Bowie County in Texas.
