The pets of the week are a black-and-tan male miniature pinscher in cage D4 and a male, domestic, short-hair black cat in cage C32.

The Animal Care and Adoption Center of Texarkana, Ark., has 90 dogs, 24 puppies, 44 cats and eight kittens for adoption, said a shelter official.

There were 25 adoptions in the past week and 111 animals were euthanized.

The fee to adopt dogs is $40. Cats can be adopted $20 each.
