Prosecuting Attorney Brent Haltom announced Monday he will run for the Division 2 Circuit Judge position that serves Miller and Lafayette counties.

The office became vacant with the unexpected death of Circuit Judge Jim Hudson on May 3.

“After Judge Hudson’s death, I visited with family, friends and supporters and after careful consideration, I decided to seek this judgeship,” Haltom said.
