A repair project will begin today on Shilling Lane and will keep one lane of the Texas-side road closed for about a week.

A culvert at Shilling Lane and Hickory Hills has rusted out and the ground beneath Shilling has begun to wash out.

“We have shored up the area to make it safe for travel for a temporary time period, but comprehensive repair work is required,” said City Engineer Kyle Dooley.

The work will begin each day at 8:30 a.m. and wrap up around 6 p.m. Motorists are asked to slow down and watch for workers during the repair period.
