Arkansas Game & Fish Commission Wildlife Officer Jackie Runion was recently promoted to lieutenant and assistant district supervisor.

Runion, 54, will be the supervisor for seven counties, which include Miller, Lafayette, Hempstead, Pike, Sevier, and Howard.

He has been a law enforcement officer since 1974 when he served as a deputy sheriff for Miller County Sheriff Leslie Greer.

He retired May 1997 from the Texarkana, Ark., Police Department as a lieutenant after working 20 years for the city.
