Voters in Cass County passed a $13.8 million Atlanta Independent School District bond proposal during Tuesday’s general election that allows for the construction of a new middle school.

The final but unofficial vote total was 747 in favor to 454 opposed.

The proposed bond amount totals $13,860,000 and will be used for new construction and upgrading of the district’s 58-year-old middle school.
