Advertising and Promotion funds were allocated Tuesday, unanimously supported by the A&P Commission.

Advertising and promotion funds are taxes collected on hotels and restaurants in the city, and awarded on a competitive basis to local agencies that promote tourism.

The recipients and amounts are:

• Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, $2,000

• Arkansas Municipal Auditorium Commission, $50,000

• Faith, Love & Hope Youth Corp., $4,000

• Four States Fair Association, $70,000

• Junior League of Texarkana, $2,500
