Volunteers in Public Schools wants people to shop until they drop while helping a good cause during the Westlawn Elementary Rummage Sale.

The event will be from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at the school, 410 Westlawn Drive.

The sale will include jewelry, lamps, boots and sweaters.

School officials said all proceeds will benefit Westlawn’s Volunteers in Public Schools, which encourages family involvement in a child’s education. VIPS asks parents to volunteer, help make the school a center for the community and participate in fundraising.
