Educators and officials dedicated to helping students with special needs met Friday afternoon as the Bowie County Transition Coalition.

Teachers and principals from Texarkana, Pleasant Grove and Liberty-Eylau school districts attended along with representatives from the Social Security Administration, the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitation Services and Workforce Solutions of Northeast Texas.

The coalition’s stated goal is to prepare students for life the day after graduation.
