Music lovers got a localized version of Woodstock Saturday as Spring Lake Park became the setting for the first ever admission-free Stateline Music Festival.

“We really marketed it Woodstock-style,” said festival organizer John Goforth.

From the T-shirt designs to the posters to the all-access passes, the seven-hour event proved it was all about the love of music. Eight local bands got to take to the big stage to share their talents with concert-goers, many proving Texarkana has more to offer than just the average cover band.
