The Arkansas Prosecuting Attorney’s Association has honored state Rep. Steve Harrelson with a 2009 Advocate for Justice Award.

Harrelson, a local attorney, received the award at the association’s fall conference last month.

“What a tremendous honor this is to be given this award by our state’s prosecutors,” Harrelson, D-Texarkana, said. “As a legislator, it is important to strengthen our laws to protect law-abiding Arkansans.”
