A Lockesburg woman arrived at the Sevier County jail in De Queen, Ark., to visit a prisoner, but she was intoxicated and was arrested because of her condition.

Sevier County Sheriff Department Jailer Bryan Hankins informed a deputy he could smell “a strong odor of an intoxicant,” coming from the woman, a recent report states. A deputy administered a breath test on Johnnie Faye Hoffman, 52, of Lockesburg, with a result of 12.9, well above the legal level of .08, which is considered intoxicated.

Hoffman was charged with public intoxication and placed in jail.
