The Southern Arkansas University female student originally thought to have been abducted Sunday actually left the Magnolia, Ark., campus voluntarily, campus officials said.

A previous relationship between the student and her male acquaintance caused a friend to be concerned and to contact the Magnolia Police Department, police reports said. To determine the student’s welfare, the campus police department issued a be-on-the-lookout bulletin for assistance locating the vehicle, said SAU Police Chief Eric Plummer.
