The pets of the week are Pilgram, a tricolored female Pekingnese mix in cage D27, and Milly, a tortoiseshell female cat in cage C42.

The Animal Care and Adoption Center of Texarkana, Ark. has 116 dogs, 27 puppies, 34 cats and 21 kittens for adoption, said a shelter official. There were 35 adoptions in the past week and animals were 82 euthanized.

The fee to adopt dogs is $40. Cats can be adopted $20 each. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the shelter, 203 Harrison St. All animals have been wormed and received their seven-in-one shots. For more infor...
