Baseball: Horatio pounds Bismarck, 14-1
BISMARCK, Ark. Matt Jones struck out eight and threw a three-hitter, and Peydon Roberts smacked a pair of homers as Horatio pounded Bismarck, 14-1, in District 7-3A baseball action Friday.
Roberts first homer came in the second with one on, and his second was a three-run shot in the third for the Lions, now 8-2 in district. Kolton Saulsbury smacked a solo home run in the first for Horatio (19-6 overall), and Sam Cowling hit a two-run homer. Saulsbury and Cowling also had a single each.
