Region II-3A quarters: Athens upcoming challenge for fourth-ranked Leopards

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas Athens coach Terry Sikes accepts the role of underdog, but remains confident his Hornets can beat fourth-ranked Liberty-Eylau.

The two schools collide at 7 p.m. today on the Northeast Texas Community College diamond in the first game of their best-of-three Region II-3A quarterfinal series. The second game will be at 7 p.m. Friday, and if a third game is necessary it will be at 1 p.m. Saturday.
