Robbie Hatfield really doesn’t know what to expect when his young Texas High softball team opens the 2008 season today at Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport.

“I think we can be competitive,” said Hatfield, whose Lady Tigers return only four starters from a disappointing season a year ago. “We’re young, but we do have some talented young girls. But until they get their feet wet against varsity competition it’s hard to say how good we can be.”
