EMORY, Texas—Daingerfield’s Jared Terry pitched no-hit baseball for five innings, finishing with a 3-hitter in the Tigers’ 5-3 victory over Community High School of Nevada Thursday in the first round of the Rains High School tournament.

Terry struck out nine batters and walked three, and also slugged a solo home run in the fourth inning. Joe Reed doubled and singled for Daingerfield and Todd Lee and Jacob Hall had doubles.

The Tigers played in the second round Friday.
