MARSHALL, Texas—Dylan Brown drove in a pair of runs and Garrett Methvin scattered three hits as Spring Hill opened the Class 3A, Region II bi-district playoffs with a 6-1 victory over Atlanta on Friday night at East Texas Baptist’s Woods Field.

Brown went 2-for-4 at the plate and got things going for the Panthers (23-4) with his two-run single in the top of the fourth inning after Atlanta scored first on a Jake Blizzard solo home run in the second inning. Brown also scored twice for the Panthers.
