MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—New Boston batted around in a six-run fifth inning, coming from behind to beat Rivercrest, 7-2, and sweep their best-of-three area softball series at Lady Tiger Field.

New Boston (20-8) won the first game, 1-0, Friday night. The Lions advance to the Region III-2A quarterfinals against Harleton. The best-of-three series begins at 7 p.m. Friday at Lady Lions Field and moves to Harleton at 1 p.m. Saturday.
