AUSTIN—Pleasant Grove senior Morgan Rainer is taking a laid-back approach to her opening round match with defending 3A state tennis champion Brooke Dennis of Abilene Wylie.

“I’m going to have fun; this is my senior year and I want to go out with a bang,” Rainer said as she prepared to face Dennis in the UIL state tennis championship at 9 a.m. today at the Penick-Allison Tennis Complex on the University of Texas’ campus.
