MILLINGTON, Tenn.—Needing a win to stave off elimination, Southern Arkansas (44-9) held off a ninth-inning comeback attempt by Montevallo and earned the second Gulf South Conference Tournament semifinal berth in the last three seasons, 3-1.

Jeremy Jenkins threw the third complete game of the tournament, scattering nine hits with three walks and three strikeouts. The Muleriders were led at the plate by centerfielder Tyler Maag and designated hitter Nick Smith.
