ASHDOWN, Ark.—Both games in the 4A-South Region baseball tournament had the chance of ending early on the 10-run rule, but the losing teams battled back to extend the inevitable Tuesday.

In the championship game, Ashdown held a 12-2 lead in the fifth inning, when De Queen scored once before falling, 12-5, at Ashdown City Park. In the third place game, Nashville held a 9-1 lead before a couple of longballs cut the Scrappers’ lead to five runs in a 12-7 victory at Wilson Park, moved to Nashville due to wet field conditions.
