AUSTIN—Daingerfield’s Jade Scott posted a 1-under-par 71 Tuesday at the UIL’s Class 2A State Golf tournament, but he still fell three shots shy of the medalist title after Salado’s Ryan O’Rear fired a 67 for a 36-hole total of 140.

Salado won the team championship behind O’Rear with a score of 619. Edgewood was two strokes back, and Sonora took home the bronze medals with a 655 total.

Robert Lee won the Class A crown with a score of 658, 21 shots better than runnerup Iraan. Goldtwaite was third at 696.
