For the first time in El Dorado’s baseball history, the Wildcats are advancing to the second round in the Class 6A state tournament.

The Wildcats cruised to an 11-0 run-rule victory over Marion Friday at Joe Blagg Field at Ed Worrell Park. The win sets up a rematch of last week’s Arkansas High-El Dorado doubleheader, which the Razorbacks swept.

“That’s going to be a tough game, they can swing it,” said El Dorado coach Blake Pizan. “We have to change our gameplan and hopefully we can hit the ball like we did today. We are going to have to match them run for run.”
