SEARCY, Ark.—Horatio’s season ended Friday with an 8-3 defeat to Corning in the Class 3A state tournament.

The Lions gave up five runs in the fourth frame and couldn’t mount a come back.

Alex Ayers gave Horatio an early lead with a solo home run to start the game. Beno Thomas and Dalton Icenhower each had a pair of singles.

The Lions finish with a 14-16 record.
