Many of the 403 contestants fished all day Saturday and failed to catch anything worthwhile in the 18th annual Opportunities Big Bass Classic held on Lake Millwood and Lake Wright Patman.

Conversely, Jodie Raffaelli needed only about 45 minutes to hook his winning 10.33-pound lunker to capture first-place prize money of $10,000.

“I left at 6 a.m. from Yarborough Landing and went out about a mile,” said Raffaelli, who used a Hoodaddy to lure the winner less than an hour later.
