AUSTIN—DeKalb senior Vincile Williams claimed the bronze medal in the 400 meters during the UIL Class 2A state track & field meet Saturday at Mike Myers Stadium.

Williams ran 49.19 for third. Crane’s Isidro Garcia won the race in 48.51, and Jonathon Adkins of Idalou finished second in 49.06.

Paul Pewitt’s Diondre Holley was fifth in the 400 with a 50.04 run.

Jefferson’s Calvin Smith cleared 6-4 in the high jump to place fifth in the boys competition.
